2 months old!!

Our little Livy bug is 2 months old today! of course with that comes her two month check up. She didn't care to get her shots but only cried till I picked her up thank goodness. She got some medicine for her reflux and besides that everything looks good. She weighs 9 lbs 1 oz which is the 11 percentile still. She is 22 inches long which is 36 percentile and her head is 14.4 inches which is in the 4 percentile. She is still little but he said its nothing to worry about yet so that's good. I can't believe its already been two months but we are so grateful for her everyday!

Antelope Island

With Matt working and going to school we have come to cherish our weekends. So each weekend we try to go somewhere different and just spend the day together as a family. So Saturday we started out by going to the burger bar in Roy which is another Diners Drive-ins and Dives and ate a yummy but not healthy lunch. Then we went to Antelope Island. It wasn't to bad. We just mostly drove around since it was a little to windy for Alivia. We saw the bison and antelope and were amazed at how many people were there. But we had a good time and can't wait to go somewhere next weekend.

Grandkid pictures

Today was a day of another first for Alivia. Her and her cousins Rylee and Kyler went to get their pictures done. It was so much fun. She had some adorable pictures of just her which made my day because I was so sad we didn't think we were going to be able to have some professional baby pictures. It was also fun to have her pictures taken with the other two kids. They all looked adorable! As soon as I get some of the pictures I will post them of our beautiful daughter.

Sleeping through the night

I have nothing to complain about when she was only waking up once at night to eat usually around 3 am same as when I was prego, however I decided I was done with this feeding. So Thursday I fed her around ten and although she did not go to sleep right after she didn't eat again until four thirty am. Last night though was perfect. She ate at ten and then went to sleep she then did not wake up to eat until Matt's alarm went off at six this morning. It was great. The only thing to make it better would be if I could sleep through the night too. Oh well that may never be in my cards but I am happy and jelous of her!

Sweedish Fish

It may have not been the best thing to do but as we were hanging out before Matt went to work I thought I would have a few sweedish fish. As he was holding Alivia I said as a joke "You want some sweedish fish?" Well you can probably guessed what I did next. I let her have a taste. Who wouldn't want to suck on a sweedish fish. She thought it was tasty. It made me laugh and freaked Matt out a little. Well I won't do it again but it was cute to see her smack her lips as you can see in the video. I love you Alivia more than a million sweedish fish!

Coos

So with Matt working two jobs and going to schoool Alivia has become very attached to him when he is here. Last night as he was hanging out with her she started cooing for the first time. Although she only did a few little coos it was fun to see her talking to him. She loves her daddy and we are so grateful for him doing everything for us especially so I can stay home with Alivia.

Time together..

So we decided with Matt working two jobs we needed to spend some family time together. So Saturday we got up and did just that. Alivia's day started with a bath that she was so sad when it was over, then we bundled her up to go out in the snow. She was so tired she slept for the next four hours which was very nice for Matt and I to just talk and spend time in peace and quiet. So we love the show diners, drive-ins and dives which had us eating lunch at Moochies down town (it was on the show when they came here) followed but shopping. We had some gift cards that made me laugh when we spent them on Alivia, like the girl needs more clothes:) Then we came home and gave Alivia some tummy time after being in her car seat. The night was finished with our good friends enjoying our early St Patricks Day dinner of corn beef and cabbage, vegtables and irish soda bread. It was delicious and the company of course was the best part. We had a wonderful day together as a family and look forward to many more days like them. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and daughter!

5) You have a beutiful smile!
6) You love to be with mommy and daddy!
7) You sleep 5 hours at night and only get up once to eat.

The Begining

As I think about one of the things I want to get out of my blog is to have Alivia know all the little things. I thought I would start from her birth then I decided to go a little furhter back. So this is for you Alivia...

Alivia,
It was Friday, June 12, 2009 and dad and I had been wondering if we could be pregnant. We got a test and I left it in the bathroom as I walked away and left dad to tell me what it said. He was talking to me and all I remeber him saying was, "Its not going to say you are..." then he came out and with a tear in his eye told me we were pregnant. We were so excited and nervous. On Friday, July 10th came the next big day. At our first prenatal appointment we had an ultasound done and dad was able to see your heart beating and we knew that everything so far was looking good. At this point we went ahead and told our family we were expecting you! But as you will learn one day about dad when he is excited it is hard for him to keep it a secret so come to find out later more people found out each day but thats okay. One July 31st was the next ultrasound and I was able to see for the first time your heart beating and little little arms and legs just moving. It was amazing.

Then the fun started:) At six weeks pregnant until about 18 weeks was morning sickness. While I was pregnant with you the only thing that I could keep down was meat. I lived on Wendys spicy chicken sandwiches and Arbys roast beef sandwiches but grateful that something was good. It was worth it though. On Friday October 2 was when we found out you were a GIRL!!! Although it took some time because they always said you were an active baby in my belly but that day you wanted to just keep laying there with your feet crossed at the ankles (you still do this everytime you have a bottle silly girl). We were once again exstactic. Then the pregnancy went on what seemed like forever but daddy and I loved it.

Then on January 15th I was put on bed rest for high blood pressure. This was really hard for me because I am not the kind of person who likes to just stayhome not able to work or drive but knew if was what was best to get you to 37 weeks pregnant and that I was willing to do. Then with 3 trips to labor and delivery we were set up on a non stress test twice a week until you came to make sure you were okay. Grandma Danna would drive me up to the hospital since daddy had to work and we got to see you moving each time. Finally at 37 weeks on January 29th my dr sent us up to be enduced. Although daddy and i were nervous we were excited you were finally going to be here. Then the real fun bega. We began the enduction at 9:00am that friday. After maxing out the medicine and 24 hours later my water was broken hoping things would start to progress. You just were not ready to come out. Before the enduction we were 70% effaced and after 36 hours were were 80% effaced and only dialated to 3 and 1/2. The doctor then told us that if I was not at a 5cm by 10:30 pm (this was now on saturday the 30th) we would have a c section. Well you were hanging in by your toes but were getting tired and your heart rate started to drop. Luckily for me I was in enough pain I was not aware of this, My wonderful nurse just said you were getting tired and called the doctor who was already half way there and we were going to just go ahead with the c section.

At 9:44 pm Saturday January 30th you were born it was amazing! All your grandparents Doug, Nancy, Danna, Tama and Ron and Aunt Andi were waiting to see you. You weighed 6lbs 10 oz and were 19 inches long. You were so beautiful and in my nextr post I will begin telling you of your first few days. We love you and are so glad you are a part of our family. Happy Birthday Alivia!
